Interested in going to a benefeast? A benefeast is a fundriasing event (usually dinner) that benefits a nonprofit.

There are two types of benefeasts: public and premier.

Public benefeasts are created by our members (individual or nonprofit). The creator can choose to host the event at one of our partner restaurants, or can host it at her home or anywhere else (by entering in the address and handling the logistics). If the event is at one of our partner restaurants, we will handle the reservation process, letting the restaurant know how many are coming etc. Our partner restaurants understand that these dinners raise money for charity, so they often throw in a bottle of wine or a discount for the table.

This page is the calendar of public benefeasts. Days highlighted in green with the "b" icon have benefeasts with space available. Click the "b" icon to check out a benefeast on that day. If a day is highlighted in green with the name of a restaurant and a time, that indicates that you are already registered for a benefeast on that day. Premier benefeasts, on the other hand, are created by our company and are meant to introduce our members to other ethically minded individuals. When signing up for a premier benefeast, members: choose which nonprofit their fee will support; answer a few compatibility questions; and choose whether or not to bring a friend along too. We then create a dinner for eight people of similar age and equal gender ratio (four men, four women). Premier benefeasts are not explicitly about dating, but, as the great Lauren McMahon would say, “sometimes you can’t stop the magic.”
